Creativity to design and Support Care for People with Dementia Conference...

Today i be will attending the Centre for Creativity Conference in London - very excited to see the other work that is taking place around the UK around technology and those with Dementia.

Manchester Development..

I had a fantastic time in Manchester last week...

My presentation to the Arts for Health Network at MMU went really well and i seemed to quickly get into the swing of things! Great practice for the others that i will be presenting in the next few months...the presentation consisted of lively debate, Art Activities and Films - so great fun!!

Working with Phil Burgess from Collective Encounters at LIME, Manchester was creatively inspiring and stimulating! Lots of work was done around how we could collaborate art forms, what makes a strong facilitator and what the potential is for future creative projects.

Work is underway for the 'Creative Legacy' around Teesside..working in Dementia and Elderly Care Homes....and workshops will begin in April!!

Collective Encounters, Liverpool

Looking forward to working with Collective Encounters on Friday - disseminating my findings and knowledge further and around the UK!!

East Pennines Churchill Committee...

This week i have been asked to join the Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship's, East Pennines Churchill Committee..i will be on the board to discuss relevant issues,setting up networking events for fellows and finding ways of disseminating our knowledge...

Creative Workshop Development...

This week has been very busy!! Meeting and setting up workshops for the next few months in Dementia specific care homes...looking forward to trying out some new techniques and processes!
A one hour workshop could include any of the following: A sensory based art activity, poetry, storytelling, movement.
